Getting started

1. Upload a regulation PDF or JSON file. The JSON file should be a previously extracted or edited regulation saved with the "save" button.
2. Review the regulation and select the compliance items you want to save.
3. Save the selected items as JSON (i.e. computer readable text), or export them as an Excel spreadsheet.

Navigating the regulation

Use the navigation tools to move through the regulation and focus on the items that matter for your inspection.

• Expand or collapse a paragraph: Click the arrow in the top-left corner of the paragraph.
• Maximize or minimize a paragraph: Use the buttons to the left of each paragraph.
• Expand or collapse all paragraphs: Use the expand or collapse all controls.
• Smart collapse paragraphs: Use smart collapse to expand only the paragraphs that contain included items and collapse the rest.
• Search by keyword: Use the search box in the top left. Matching paragraphs will expand, and non-matching paragraphs will collapse. The keyword will be highlighted in the document.

Editing and selecting items

• Edit paragraph text: Double-click a paragraph to edit it. While editing, standard shortcuts will work (i.e. Ctrl+Z to undo). When finished, press Enter or click outside the paragraph to save your changes. From this point you will not be able to undo changes automatically. This will mark the paragraph header with an asterisk.
• Include or remove an item: Maximize the paragraph, then use the button to the left of the paragraph to include or remove it.
• Remove all paragraphs: If your inspection has a narrow scope, you can remove all paragraphs and add back relevant sections one at a time.
• Add back recommended paragraphs: Use this button to add back all paragraphs that were recommended/previously included (yellow).
